Hello 2009!!

2009 is here... Happy New Year, everyone!!

How did you spend new year's eve? We spent it at home -- at my mom's place that is. It was potluck dinner - actually my aunt Uchu the chief cook brought most of the food with others topping up with some dishes and desserts.

We started out with a doa -- cousin also prepared some pulut kuning to sampaikan hajat as her son Dani got 8A's for his PMR. Then it was dinner and borak borak borak... and planning for a family holiday at the end of the year, insya-Allah. Two weddings are going to happen - one in Feb and another in March, insya-Allah.

We also had an early birthday celebration for Dani, who will turn 16 on Jan 6.

The theme of the gathering was Mamamia Slumber party -- we hooked up the DVD player with a projector and speakers; bentang tilam and comforters at the living room with lotsa pillows and cushions and voila!! -- a slumber party!!

We watched Mamamia and later Sepi. Panggung tutup pukul 3am!!

Earlier during the day, just as soon as I dropped my kids and cucus (I told ya before my grandnieces and nephew are my kids' age!!) at mom's after lunch, I received a call from brother-in-law who just had an accident 5 minutes away from mom's place. He was coming from Shah Alam to see his grandkids.

Went to his rescue (I was nearest to the scene) and OMG his car was soooo badly hit... a Proton Saga had apparently appeared from nowhere and banged his car from behind. When I arrived at the scene, he looked so shocked and I believe was trembling. Kesian... my sis pulak is in NY to visit their kids. Thank God he wasn't hurt or anything.

By that time of course, the tow truck thugs were already there to 'help' la kan... they towed the car to Jalan Bandar Traffic Police Station and we followed from behind to lodge a report. Alhamdulillah, sekejap je kat sana... less than an hour.

Later that night, we all joked that he ended 2008 with a real *BANG!!* :-)

My wish list for 2009? I have a few specific ones -- but essentially good health, security -- spiritually, emotionally, financially and professionally.
