A kampong getaway

Am letting the pictures speak for our recent wonderful experience in a kampong resort @ Janda Baik...

lounging around...

what a wonderful wooden walkway...

pretty tiles...

the girls' closest experience of being in a kampong...

their first sungai experience...

It's as though time stood still in the kampong...

We had barbeque!

And the lonely kitten who bid us farewell...

Lovely, lovely pics! Lovely, lovely place! Looks so green, clean and very peaceful.

Is this the same house you went to for the kenduri kawin you posted about earlier, or a proper kampung resort?

If the latter, I'd love to bring my kids there to experience the same experience Maira and Misha had. If you don't mind, do they have any websites or contact details which I could refer to, please?

Thanks! :)

The place was lovely indeed! And the bathrooms were clean - tu yang penting!!

It is a proper kampung resort less than 45 mins away from the Karak Highway toll plaza. The pics posted earlier were from the bride's family home. Both have the same ambience, kan?

I just googled the place - D'Ark Resort and it seems they do a lot of family day/training etc. Check it out:

Cool!!! The white & blue checked cushion, white rattan sofa.....hmmm...did you post the pics purposely to tease both our taste buds??? ha ha ha...and the halia bara - what is it called in English?- reminds me of my old sekangkang kera garden. Nanti I cari gambar2 lama and post in my blog ok? And (banyaknya 'and') that anak sungai...reminds me of my datuk-nenek's kampung at Muara Labuoh in Padang! Hmmm...lovely, lovely pics you've got here. Thank you!
